Translate By Humans is seeking a translation project manager to join our team based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for maintaining client relationships as well as overseeing the successful execution of translation projects across various industry verticals, including ones that involve multiple foreign languages and that require value-added services.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all translation projects, including sending quotes to clients, sourcing the translation projects to translators and proofreaders, reviewing files for QC and ensuring delivery of the final translation is made timely.
  • Serve as a liaison between client and translator, ensuring any and all expectations/requirements for the projects are made clear to the translation teams.
  • Follow all stipulated quality assurance procedures and resolves quality assurance issues.
  • Assist in the creation, updating and maintenance of translation memories in applicable language(s).
  • Gain expertise in the usage of CAT tools (TRADOS) including the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Process all invoices for both translators and clients.

Skills & Experience
  • This job requires at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) and some experience coordinating projects and assigning resources.
  • A second language (any language other than Indian languages) is preferable.
  • Ability to multitask in a time sensitive work environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • Understanding of HTML, XML, and web technologies along with Microsoft Office programs would be beneficial.
  • Brilliant at communicating expectations and should have excellent customer service skills.

  • Time-management skills
  • Additional certification in Linguistics is a preferred
